Redline Running Athletes Deliver Strong Results at Victorian All Schools Championships

Redline Running athletes Jackson Unthank, Joshua Unthank, Poppy Nivarovich, Emily McCormick, and Lachlan Thomas delivered strong performances at the 2024 Victorian All Schools Championships. The competition was filled with personal bests and some podium finishes in the 400m, 800m, 1500m and 3000m events. 


Jackson Unthank

Jackson Unthank finished with strong results in the U18 age group. In the 1500m final, Jackson clocked a time of 4:04.79, finishing 7th overall, a solid effort in a highly competitive field. He followed this up with personal bestperformance in the 800m final, running a time of 1:55.94, earning him a 4th-place finish.

Joshua Unthank

Joshua Unthank also delivered strong performances in the U18 age group. In the 1500m final, Joshua crossed the line in 4:02.21, securing 4th place. He followed that up with a personal best in the 800m final, completing the race in 1:54.32 and taking home the bronze medal.

Emily McCormick

Emily McCormick, competing in the U17 category, put in strong performances across the middle-distance events. In the 1500m final, she finished 16th with a time of 5:14.59, she also competed in the 400m preliminaries, where she posted a time of 64.18. In the 800m final, Emily ran a solid race, finishing 6th with a time of 2:23.56.

Poppy Nivarovich

Poppy Nivarovich had a solid champiobnship in the U18 category, particularly in the longer events. She finished 6th in the 1500m final with a time of 4:50.75 and in the 3000m final finished 4th with a time of 10:24.32, earning recognition as the 3rd Victorian in this event.

Lachlan Thomas

Lachlan Thomas delivered a series of personal bests across three events in the U16 category. In the 400m final, he posted a new personal best with a time of 51.84, earning a 5th-place finish. He followed this up with another personal best in the 1500m final, where he completed the race in 4:17.83, finishing 10th. In the 800m final, Lachlan ran an outstanding race to finish 2nd with a personal best time of 1:57.32, securing a podium spot.


Both Lachlan Thomas and Poppy Nivarovich will now head to the 2024 Chemist Warehouse Australian All Schools Athletics Championships to be held in Brisbane from Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December.
